Danny Sherman knows a thing or two about showbiz—he’s been around the block, honestly. Born in LA, but before you start picturing some classic Hollywood childhood, think again. He ended up in the Netherlands as a kid, tagging along with his mom who married a Dutch guy. Not your typical American upbringing, for sure. After finishing high school over there (probably eating a ton of stroopwafels), he bounced back to the States for college. He picked Carnegie Mellon—yeah, the drama school everyone dreams about—and snagged a BFA in Acting. But wait, he didn’t just stay glued to the stage. The dude tried out theater in New York, got a taste of that hustle, then flipped the script and moved into the business side. Honestly, that’s where things really started to cook. He did a tour in the music biz, then circled back to LA, working at different talent agencies and management companies. In 2012, he landed at Thruline Entertainment, and that’s been his playground ever since. These days, Danny reps all sorts of folks—writers, directors, producers, even big names like Tenoch Huerta and Andie MacDowell. He’s also got some producing chops, teaming up with Steven Soderbergh for the Quibi series Wireless (Tye Sheridan stars), and he’s working on a feature with Tenoch for Gaumont Studios. His development slate? Packed. Studio Canal, History Channel, Sony TV, AMC—you name it. Oh, and he splits his time between LA and Oaxaca, which sounds like the dream.
