David Thompson
David William Thompson, yeah, he’s one of those guys who never really fit the “child star” stereotype. Born in Westchester, New York—suburbs, not super glamorous, but there’s something about the energy up there. His folks are George and Leesa, just regular people, not some Hollywood dynasty. David didn’t exactly come out of the womb acting. It kicked off in middle school, almost by accident. Somebody nudged him to try out for a school play and, whoa, turns out the kid had chops. He kept going with it, landing some roles in school stuff and quirky little local theater projects—nothing huge, but he was getting his feet wet.
After a while, he started poking around the student film scene in New York, which, honestly, is a bit of a jungle. He didn’t just wing it though—he got serious about learning the craft. Stand-up comedy, improv, the Meisner method—he wasn’t just checking boxes, he was grinding. Even spent a summer locked in at Circle In the Square, which is kind of a big deal if you know New York theater. All that hustle paid off when he landed his first real movie gig in "Win Win" back in 2011. That was the moment it all started to click. But here’s the thing: David’s not just about acting. He’s into wrestling—yeah, actual wrestling, not just watching it—plus drumming, skateboarding, and he still does stand-up when he gets the itch. He’s one of those people who can’t sit still.
