David V. Butler
David V. Butler—now there’s a name that’s popped up in some seriously big titles. The guy’s got his fingerprints all over The Batman from 2022 (yeah, the one with the moody lighting and even moodier Bruce Wayne), and apparently, he’s got credits in Saturday Night (2024) too, which, by the way, folks are buzzing about for its wild plot twists. And let’s not forget Mr. & Mrs. Smith from way back in 2005—the one with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie basically redefining what "married couple problems" means.
Butler’s career is kind of a wild ride if you think about it. Not everyone can bounce from a dark superhero flick to a glossy, high-octane spy romance and then pivot to a contemporary drama. That’s some serious range, right? Makes you wonder what goes on in his head when he picks projects—does he just have an eye for scripts that are going to blow up, or is it more about working with the right people?
Off the set, he’s been married to Mary Posatko since September 28, 2002. In Hollywood years, that’s like, a couple of centuries. No scandals, no weird tabloid drama, just keeping it steady while the Hollywood circus rolls on. Respect. So yeah, David V. Butler might not always be front and center, but his work’s definitely made its mark on some pretty iconic movies. Every film he touches seems to get a little more interesting.
