Duncan Vezain

Born and bred in Montana, Duncan’s basically had dirt and horsehair in his veins since he could walk. He’s not your average cowboy either—the guy’s got a knack for turning a stubborn colt into a partner, and he knows his way around a set of reins like most people know their own phone number. Funny thing, it was horses that got him into the whole film circus in the first place. Some wrangler needed extra horses for a shoot, and Duncan just happened to have the right herd. Next thing you know, Hollywood’s knocking. Duncan’s not just a one-trick pony, though. He’s got real chops in the saddle, but he can drive a team of horses like something out of an old Western—seriously, the guy could probably parallel park a stagecoach. He’s spent time learning wagon-making with a wheelwright, too, and he even builds his own saddles. That’s some old-school craftsmanship you don’t see every day. One time, he was talking wagons with a director, just doing his thing, and apparently his charm (or maybe just his straight-shooting Montana style) landed him an acting gig in “Steel Wind.” Yeah, from horses to Hollywood, just like that. Since then, Duncan keeps popping up in films—not just dropping off horses or wrangling stunts, but actually getting cast as an actor. You’ll see him driving teams, pulling off wild rides, or just soaking up the camera, all without ever forgetting where he came from.
