Elham Erfani
Elham’s one of those creative types who just can’t seem to sit still. She’s been living in Paris since 2006, juggling three languages like it's nothing—French, English, Persian, all on tap. She kicked off her acting journey ridiculously young, like, nine years old at the Theatre Institute, already doing stage gigs while most kids her age were barely learning to ride a bike. After that, she got swept up with a drama group in Tehran, and then—because why not—moved to Paris to dive into fashion at LISAA. Turns out, she’s got an eye for design, too. She dipped her toes in the fashion scene, but that didn’t last long before the film world called her over.
Costume design gigs? She nailed those, working on stuff like Crazy Hors in 2009, Kolah Pahlavi in 2012, and the 2017 flick "Des amours, désamour." Acting didn’t take a backseat either—she scored a role as the young lover in Pia Cooper’s Poste Restante in 2010. Not just content being in front of the camera, she got behind it too, working as a dialogist and assistant director on Paris to Paris, a film that actually snagged an award at the Fajr film fest.
By 2016, she dove deep into directing and writing at Esra Cinema school, cranking out her own project, The Case of Sacrifice, in 2017—writing, directing, and acting in it. Has she stopped since? Not a chance. She’s still acting, and since 2019, she’s been sharpening her craft with Jack Waltzer from Actor’s Studio. Honestly, she’s just everywhere.
