Fatih Al

Fatih Al, born on September 12, 1976, in Ankara, is one of those actors you see pop up in all sorts of Turkish TV shows and movies, and you’re like, “Oh hey, it’s that guy again!” He studied theatre at Ankara University, which is kind of a classic start for lots of Turkish actors, right? After college, he jumped into city theaters, doing the whole live performance thing before switching gears to film and TV. His first real TV gig was back in 2003 with “Sihirli Annem” – a show that’s basically a staple for a whole generation. Two years later, he turned up in “Rüzgarlı Bahçe,” keeping the momentum going. Movies came calling soon after, and in 2007, he landed a part as Cemal in “Hazan Mevsimi - Bir Panayir Hikâyesi.” But the dude never ditched the stage—he hopped back on in 2010 with “Korkuyu Beklerken” and kept juggling both mediums. 2011 was a big one for him. He starred in “Bizim Büyük Çaresizliğimiz” and did the play “Giderayak.” Oh, and let’s not forget “Muhteşem Yüzyıl”—that’s when he played Matrakçı Nasuh and, honestly, that’s what really shot him into the spotlight. After that, he kept busy: “Evdeki Yabancılar” in 2013, “Daire” in 2014, and the TV series “Not Defteri.” More recently, people know him from Netflix’s “Atiye.” So yeah, if you watch Turkish drama, you’ve definitely seen Fatih Al’s face.
