Felecia Angelle
reference
Felecia Angelle, hailing straight outta Lafayette, Louisiana, isn’t exactly a stranger to anime fans. She’s one of those people you hear in a bunch of different shows and suddenly realize, “Hey, I know that voice!” Born and raised where the gumbo’s hot and the accents are thicker than the humidity, Felecia somehow found her way into the wild world of voice acting. She’s all over “Boku no hîrô akademia” (yeah, My Hero Academia, obviously), bringing characters to life with more energy than a double shot of espresso. You’ve probably caught her in “One Piece” too – which is kind of a rite of passage for any anime dub actor at this point – and if you haven’t checked out “Go-Toubun No Hanayome” (The Quintessential Quintuplets), well, you’re missing out on a show that’s way more chaotic and hilarious than the title lets on.
She’s not just putting on voices, either. There’s real personality behind every line. Felecia has this knack for making even the weirdest, most over-the-top characters feel like someone you might actually bump into at a convention. And the range? Wild. One minute she’s voicing a hero, next she’s a villain, then suddenly she’s the comic relief or the voice of reason. It’s a rollercoaster. She’s become pretty much a staple name in the Funimation/Crunchyroll crowd, and honestly, her work’s got that spark that turns a good show into something you wanna binge for days. If you’re deep into anime or just dipping your toes in, odds are Felecia Angelle’s already in your ear, and you didn’t even notice.
