Hisako Kanemoto grew up in Okayama Prefecture, went to Kamogata High, and after that, she was off to the voice acting course at Vocational School of Art College Kobe. She wrapped up there in 2008, packed her bags, and made the jump to Tokyo, joining the training office of Production Baobab. That’s where things started rolling. Early days, she was using the alias Juri Aikawa—kind of mysterious, right? Her first anime gig landed in 2009 with Sora no Manimani, still under that pseudonym.
