Jamie Demetriou’s basically a comedy chameleon. The guy’s everywhere—writing, acting, pulling faces you swear you’ve seen somewhere before, probably because you have. His breakout, STATH LETS FLATS, hit Channel 4 back in 2018 and honestly, it smashed it. Critics loved it, Rotten Tomatoes slapped a 100% on it, and Jamie? He wrote the whole thing (half with Robert Popper, half solo). The show was so good, he bagged a few award noms and went straight back for another round—season two started filming in 2019, because, why wouldn’t it? He’s not just sticking to one thing either. Jamie’s got this BBC3 project, PARIAHS, cooking up with Ellie White. Short episodes, big laughs. He’s also dabbled with Film4—wrote a feature script there—and even popped up in a Sky Halloween comedy short called OH GOD. You know, just casually adding “screenwriter” to his resume like it’s no big deal. On the acting side, he’s voiced Moriarty in SHERLOCK GNOMES (yep, that’s Johnny Depp as Sherlock), played the villain in Netflix’s GAME OVER, MAN! with the Workaholics crew, and showed up in PADDINGTON 2 as The Professor. Not to mention, he’s got a role in HORRIBLE HISTORIES: THE MOVIE and is popping up in the FOUR WEDDINGS reboot.
