Not even mid-twenties and he’s already knee-deep in theatre, bouncing between Aussie stages and wherever else the gigs took him. TV people might remember him from All Saints, but his big film break? That’d be Fracture in 2004, a New Zealand feature that actually scored some awards. Then he swung back to NZ, popped up in Outrageous Fortune (yeah, that one your mate binge-watched), and started showing up in Go Girls pretty regularly. Things really started popping when he snagged a lead in The Almighty Johnsons—he’s Ty Johnson, aka a human version of Hod (that’s the Norse god of all things moody and cold, for the uninitiated). Since then? You can’t really miss him if you’re watching Kiwi TV or film, honestly. He’s all over the place. He’s even jumped back into Aussie TV with The Secret Daughter, hanging with Jessica Mauboy—if you know, you know. And he hasn’t just stuck to the local stuff—he’s got credits in international gigs like 30 Days of Night, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and even rolled up as Slanter in MTV’s The Shannara Chronicles. Basically, the dude’s been everywhere, doing a bit of everything.
