Jeet Raidutt
Jeet Raidutt, yeah, the guy who snagged Mr. India Most Photogenic back in 2012—he’s actually Kamaljeet Bhardwaj if you wanna get all official, but he rocks his grandpa’s surname, Raidutt, as a nod to family. His life’s never been a cakewalk. Lost his dad early on, so he had to drop the whole studying dream and jump into the grind. Turns out, he was pretty damn good at whatever job he picked up. Outta nowhere, a friend dragged him into the Mr. India scene—literally filled out the form for him. Next thing you know, Jeet gets a call saying he’s in for the grooming sessions. Total shocker. His boss told him not to quit, said the contest wouldn’t pay the bills, but finally let him take off for a bit. Mumbai was a whole new world for him, but he went, did his thing, and boom—walked away with the most photogenic title.
After that, Jeet danced in some Uttarakhandi albums, even landed lead roles there, but Bollywood was calling. In 2014, he packed up for Mumbai again, chasing whatever luck would throw his way. Landed a movie gig, had to commute out to Vasai for rehearsals, barely knew his way around. He worked on “Commando 2”—some of his scenes got the axe, classic, right? Thanks to social media, he grabbed a part in “Sabrang,” a festival film. Then there’s “The Past,” but, get this, they didn’t even credit him in the cast. Still, he kept grinding. Finally, he got noticed in the South for “Prem Baraha,” opposite Aishwariya Sarja. He lucked into “Kick Boxer” after another actor dropped out. On set, met another director, landed “Decent Boy.” Also did “Zehan,” plus a bunch of music albums—“Naino Ki To Baat Naina Jaane Hai” blew up, “Khuda Jane” dropped with Zee Music, and “Adhoorey” was sung by Shaan. Not exactly a straight path, but that’s showbiz, right?
