Jeffrey Lance Sniffen—yeah, that’s the full name, in case you’re one of those people who likes trivia night—grew up in Little Falls, NJ, doing the whole “regular kid, regular town” thing. Passaic Valley Regional High School was his stomping ground before he traded Jersey for the hills of West Virginia. Turns out, he wasn’t just good with books—he could tear up a football field too. Played for the West Virginia Mountaineers from ‘86 to ‘91. That’s five years of blood, sweat, and probably a lot of Gatorade. Life moved fast. Married Kimberly in ‘91, right after graduation. They made it work for almost 25 years, which, let’s be honest, is practically a Hollywood eternity. They’ve got a son, Cory Chase, who probably inherited at least some of dad’s stubborn streak. Now, onto the stuff folks usually Google—Sniffen’s face might ring a bell because of some serious screen time. He popped up in “The Mechanic” (2011), “Mission Impossible 3,” and not one, but two “Star Trek” movies (2009 and 2013). So if you’re squinting at the screen wondering where you know him from, there you go. He’s not just about action scenes and explosions though. He lives by the saying, “If you are talking you are not listening.” Classic, right? And the best advice anyone ever gave him? Simple: Make your bed in the morning. Sounds small, but hey, sometimes it’s the little things that keep you grounded.
