Pandora (2019) drops viewers right into a future that's honestly seen better days. Earth’s basically toast after some massive disaster, and now, people are just trying to make it out there among the stars. You’ve got Jax, who’s just your average, slightly rebellious space mechanic—except, you know, she also has a knack for getting tangled up in really messy situations. She gets pulled into this whole mess when the space station she’s living on gets attacked, and suddenly, everyone thinks she’s the one to blame. Talk about a bad day.
Meanwhile, in USS Christmas (2020), things take a wildly different turn. This one’s all about heart, nostalgia, and a bit of holiday magic. Maddie, a sharp journalist, hops onto a Christmas-themed Navy mission, mostly just looking for a story, but you know how these things go—she ends up finding more than she bargained for. There’s romance, a sprinkle of military tradition, and that whole warm fuzzy feeling that makes you want to dig out your ugly Christmas sweater.
Doom: Annihilation (2019) smashes in with a different vibe entirely. It’s gritty, it’s dark, and let’s be real, it’s a total adrenaline kick. Marines get sent to a Martian moon because, apparently, opening portals to hell never gets old. The squad faces off with all sorts of hellspawn, and the lead, Lt. Joan Dark, is just done with everyone’s nonsense. Expect a lot of mayhem, some gnarly monsters, and a healthy dose of old-school video game chaos. No one’s safe, and everything’s on fire—classic.
