Born and bred in North Carolina, Jenn Lyon’s got that Southern charm mixed with real New York hustle. She took her shot at the big city right after graduating from North Carolina School of the Arts, and honestly? She’s been killing it ever since. She’s rocked Broadway, showing up in Tom Stoppard's beast of a trilogy, “The Coast of Utopia,” which basically swept the Tonys, and Larry David’s hilarious “Fish in the Dark.” Off-Broadway? She snagged a Drama Desk Ensemble Award for A.R. Gurney’s “The Wayside Motor Inn” and popped up in Kenneth Lonergan’s “Hold on to Me Darling,” which critics couldn’t stop talking about in 2016. She’s not shy about diving into new stuff, either—ask anyone who saw her in John Guare’s “Are You There MacPhee?” She made that character her own.
Jenn doesn’t just stick to the stage though. She’s shared scenes (and maybe a little on-screen chemistry) with Tim Olyphant in both “Hold On To Me Darling” and FX’s “Justified.” If you’re into sitcoms, you probably caught her cracking jokes with George Lopez and Danny Trejo on “Saint George.” She pops up in TV shows like “Army Wives,” “Louie,” and even HBO’s “Crashing.” Over on the film side, she’s held her own with legends like Al Pacino and Helen Mirren in “Phil Spector,” plus indie flicks “Flower Shop” and “Lemon.” Most recently? She just wrapped up shooting “Blaze,” with Ethan Hawke calling the shots. Hard not to root for her—she’s got range for days.
