Jon Robert Hall bounced around a bit as a kid—Indiana, Arizona, California—never really sitting still. He spent his days out in the wild, climbing rocks, blasting soccer balls, chucking footballs, you name it. Music got ahold of him early, thanks to his mom, who basically became his personal Uber driver, hauling him into LA a few times a week for vocal gigs and auditions. By ten, the guy was already singing for movies and TV, but sports? He was obsessed with those too. He actually scored a full-ride football scholarship to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo (pretty sweet, right?). After four and a half years, he walked out with a music degree in his back pocket and a big old crossroads ahead: NFL dreams or the arts? Life kinda chose for him when Tim Davis, a producer, tossed him a shot to sing backup on Glee. That was just the start. After grinding behind the scenes, Jon landed a spot on Glee as the beatboxing Warbler in 2010. From there, it was a snowball—acting in all sorts of shows, tearing it up onstage in Vegas as Stacee Jaxx at the Venetian, then swinging back to TV for a guest role on Grease Live (which even snagged an Emmy). Lately, he’s been touring the country in Wicked, taking center stage as Fiyero. Honestly, the dude’s career is a wild mashup of football grit and showbiz sparkle.
