Jon Sangroniz

You know Jon? The guy's been hooked on photography since he was a kid—like, literally, 12 years old, stumbling across his grandad’s beat-up Nikon FM2 in some dusty country cabin. That old camera basically lit the fuse. Jon started out messing with black and white film, totally winging it with borrowed negatives, and somewhere along the line, he got seriously good. Fast forward: now he’s this go-to cinematographer, especially known for his work on "The Platform 2." People in the industry actually pay attention when his name pops up in the credits. His journey isn’t some overnight thing either. Jon’s stacked a Superior Degree in Photography from ESCIVI, and then snagged a Master’s in Cinematography at ESCAC. The guy’s obsessed—took extra courses just to master post-production stuff like Davinci Resolve. Not to mention, he’s even been the Lead Teacher for Director of Photography at ECPV. Talk about giving back. He’s teamed up with some heavy-hitter directors too: Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia (those wild "Platform" movies), Aitor Arregi, Jose Mari Goenaga, Jon Garaño—seriously, that crew behind "Flowers," "Handia," and "The Endless Trench." Oh, and Santiago Zannou and Jorge Dorado, just to name a few more. The list’s kind of nuts. But honestly, what sets Jon apart isn’t just the resume or the awards (though, yeah, he’s got receipts). The dude just flat-out loves what he does. You can see it, frame by frame.
