Jonah Hill grew up in LA, smack in the middle of the kind of showbiz family that makes you wonder if anyone in Hollywood actually has a “normal” job. Things just kind of snowballed from there. He picked up more and more parts, each one a little bigger than the last. Then, boom—he lands a starring spot in Superbad in 2007. Suddenly, he’s not just “that guy in the background,” he’s front and center. He kept writing, kept acting, and started popping up on late-night TV, just owning it. Basically, Jonah Hill hustled his way from a kid in LA to one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces, and he doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon.

Anyway, we’re chilling on the sand, me trying to look like I totally belong there, when outta nowhere, this bird zeroes in on me. I freeze. Everyone’s watching. All that comes out of my mouth is this desperate whimper, “Pleaaaase!” I mean, what was I even begging for? Mercy? A personal force field? The whole family loses it, right there, doing impressions of my pathetic plea all afternoon. I’ll never live it down.
