Juan Manuel Borbolla

So, I’ve basically spent my life living and breathing the Mexican entertainment scene. Back in 2003, Warner Bros. tapped me as their managing director for theatrical distribution and local productions in Mexico—felt kinda surreal, honestly. Anyway, we cranked out seven feature films under that label, which, looking back, was just wild. After that ride, I went rogue—well, independent—and started producing on my own terms. Stuff like "You've Got This" (people still bring that one up to me at parties), "Tangos Tequilas and Some Lies," "Noche de Bodas," and "Love Me in The Future." I mean, I’m skipping a few, but you get the idea: lots of sweat, a little chaos, and a ton of fun. But, yeah, it wasn’t just movies. I dove into TV too. Created "Dos Lunas" for Fox, which was a trip—two worlds, one woman, lots of drama. And then there’s "Jump Start My Heart" on Prime Video—totally different vibe—and "Cada Minuto Cuenta," which digs into the 1985 Mexican earthquake. That one hit close to home for a lot of folks. The stories, the people, the pressure… it’s addictive in a way that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it. Anyway, that’s my world—producing stories that stick with you, whether it’s on a massive screen or just chilling at home with your TV.
