Kailash Waghmare, born June 2, 1983, out in Jalna, Maharashtra—man, the guy’s done a bit of everything. He’s one of those actors who just keeps popping up wherever you look in Marathi cinema. First broke through as a lead in “Manatlya Unhat: In the Sunshine of the Mind” back in 2015. After that, he didn’t bother slowing down: “Hirvee” (2021), “Ghoda” (2023), and a string of others—“Half Ticket,” “Bhikari,” “Dry Day,” “Ascharyachakit,” “Bhonsle,” “Bhirkit,” “Dharavi Bank.” Dude’s got a filmography like a marathon runner, just keeps stacking them up. But honestly, the movies are just half the story. Theatre’s where he really flexes—guy’s a proper stage animal. You might’ve caught him in “Shivaji Underground in Bhimnagar Mohalla,” “Same Same But Different,” “Loretta,” or “Qissebazi.” Every time, there’s this raw energy, like he’s about to break out of the stage.
