Keerthy Suresh, yeah, she’s kind of a big deal down South. Born to Menaka (a well-known actress herself) and producer G. Suresh Kumar, Keerthy basically grew up with movies in her veins. Her older sis, Revathy Sureshkumar, is in the biz too, so you could say cinema runs deep in that family. She did her schooling in Thiruvananthapuram, and later on, snagged a fashion design degree from Pearl Academy, Chennai – not your typical film school route, but hey, it worked. She kicked off her acting journey as a kid in movies like Pilots, Achaneyanenikkishtam, and Kuberan, all under her dad’s production house. Then came a long break, probably to just be a normal student for a bit. Fast forward to 2013, she’s back, this time leading in Geethanjali, a psychological thriller where she played not one but two characters. Not bad for a comeback, right? She even bagged a bunch of debut awards for that. Switching gears, she entered Tamil cinema with Idhu Enna Maayam – the film didn’t exactly set the box office on fire, but she still got noticed and racked up more awards. She followed up with a string of Tamil hits like Rajini Murugan, Thodari, Remo, and Bairavaa. Keerthy’s Telugu debut, Nenu Sailaja, was a hit, and she just kept the momentum going with Nenu Local.
