Kirk D’Amico

Kirk D’Amico runs the show at Myriad Pictures—a production company with its fingerprints all over movies like KINSEY, THE GOOD GIRL, MARGIN CALL, and THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ELEANOR RIGBY. The guy’s basically a veteran, having cranked out and overseen more than 60 films. But he doesn’t just make movies—he’s a legit force in international distribution, which, let’s be real, is how the world gets to actually see these films. He co-founded Photon Films up in Canada, which is still going strong and recently dropped SOUND OF METAL (you know, the one with Riz Ahmed that made the Oscars sweat). Oh, and he didn’t just stick to producing. Kirk grabbed the director’s chair for HOLIDAY JOY back in 2016—yeah, that Freeform holiday flick with Bailee Madison and French Stewart. Not everyone can swap hats like that without breaking a sweat. Before all this, he did the corporate hustle: Executive VP at Village Roadshow Pictures in the late ‘90s, and before that, running international at The Samuel Goldwyn Company. Not exactly small potatoes. On the academic side, he’s got a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Holy Cross (so, he can probably hold his own at any dinner party), plus a law degree from the University of the District of Columbia. He’s not just collecting credits, either—he’s active with BAFTA, used to be Vice Chairman at the International Film and Television Alliance, and is a lifetime Sierra Club member. So, movies, law, activism—the guy’s all over the place.
