Krishan Sudama Kumar
Krishan Sudama Kumar, the dude’s got his fingerprints all over some of the wildest movie rides in recent years. For starters, there’s Laxmii (2020)—that’s the one where Akshay Kumar, of all people, gets possessed by a vengeful spirit. It’s a total genre mashup: horror, comedy, drama, and—why not—some social commentary about gender identity thrown in. Laxmii’s not just jump scares and whacky scenes, though. There’s a deeper stab at stereotypes and prejudice—sometimes subtle, sometimes smacking you right in the face.
Then you’ve got Adipurush (2023). Now, this one’s a whole different beast. Epic, mythological, big-budget spectacle. This film takes a swing at reimagining the Ramayana but with a modern VFX overload. It’s all gods, demons, and larger-than-life battles, with Prabhas swinging swords and chewing up the screen. Sure, critics had their two cents about the CGI and liberties with the original tale, but you can’t deny the sheer ambition. It’s massive, unapologetic, and honestly, a bit bonkers in scope.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022) is another feather in Kumar’s cap—a spiritual sequel to the 2007 cult classic. It’s got Kartik Aaryan and Tabu navigating a haunted haveli where nothing is as it seems. Ghosts, mistaken identities, and enough twists to make your head spin. The movie blends horror and comedy with a modern twist, poking fun at superstition while delivering genuine goosebumps. Kumar’s filmography? All over the map, and that’s kinda what makes it a wild ride every time.
