So, let's talk about a career that’s all over the map—in a good way. This person’s basically been at the epicenter of film and TV production for decades, wearing just about every hat you can imagine. Back in the late ‘90s, they were calling the shots as Chair of the American Association of Producers. That’s no small potatoes, especially in a business where everyone’s elbowing for space at the table. Fast forward a bit and they’re Vice President of the Producers Guild of America, 2001-2002, which means they weren’t just behind the scenes—they were steering the ship. And yeah, they actually made stuff, not just sat in meetings. Segment and field producer for “Worst Case Scenario” at Avoca Productions. That show was a wild ride, and someone’s gotta keep the chaos under control. Enter our person. Then things take a bit of an academic turn. Suddenly, they’re shaping the next generation of creators, chairing the Digital Media Production and Video Production departments at the Art Institute of Colorado. Not exactly a cushy gig; that’s a lot of herding creative cats. They even did the adjunct hustle—teaching at University of Colorado Denver and Community College of Aurora in 2002. Sharing the wisdom, spreading the gospel, all that. And guess what? They’re still at it. Currently, they’re leading the Producers Guild of America’s Industry Advisory Board. Basically, if you want to know how to survive and thrive in the world of production—TV, film, whatever—this is the person you ask. They’ve seen it all, and probably have a story (or ten) for every situation.
