Louie Provost
Louie Provost, a name that's slowly been picking up steam in certain film circles, has a pretty eclectic resume. You’ve got “Lilo & Stitch” (the 2025 one, not the old-school animated classic), “Togo” from 2019, and then there’s “Bye Bye Benjamin” back in 2006. Wild spread, right? Honestly, it’s kind of cool seeing someone bounce around genres like that.
So, with “Lilo & Stitch,” he’s wading into that tricky territory of live-action remakes where everyone’s already got strong opinions—nostalgia’s a beast, and people are protective of their blue alien weirdos. Louie’s been in the thick of production, making sure the heart of the original isn’t lost in the translation. There’s been a ton of chatter online about who’s voicing Stitch and whether the CGI will be a trainwreck or actually adorable. I mean, let’s be real, there’s a lot riding on this one.
“Togo,” though, is a whole different animal (pun… intended?). It’s a Disney flick that slipped under the radar for some but got a cult following. The story’s about this gutsy sled dog and his owner, played by Willem Dafoe, braving the Alaskan wilderness to save a town. It’s got that gritty, real-life adventure vibe, and Louie’s work behind the scenes really gave it some soul.
And then you’ve got “Bye Bye Benjamin,” which, okay, isn’t exactly a household name, but it’s got this indie charm. It’s a quirky little story, sort of offbeat, dealing with loss and growing up, but with a dark sense of humor that not everyone’s gonna get.
All in all, Provost isn’t really a front-and-center Hollywood type, but the projects he touches have this weird knack for sticking with people, even if you can’t quite figure out why.
