Mahesh Bung

Mahesh Bung, born December 12, 1987, in Ichalkaranji, Maharashtra, is one of those multi-hyphenate talents who just can’t sit still. He’s currently based out of Bangalore and, honestly, his journey’s kind of wild. Mahesh started out in Kannada theatre—real grassroots stuff—before jumping into TV and eventually films. His big break came with the lead in “Kaaranji” (2014-2016), a show that ran for a couple years and put him on the map for Kannada TV audiences. But he didn’t stop there. The guy literally wrote and produced a bunch of “Shantam Paapam” episodes for Colors Kannada between 2017 and 2018. That’s right—he was behind the scenes and in front of the camera, juggling scripts and shots like a pro. He’s not all talk, either. Mahesh acted in flicks like “Ka” (2014), but it was his role as Sujay in “Kahi” (2016) that got people really talking. Critics loved him—finally, some recognition for the grind. Oh, and the man’s got brains to match the hustle: he did his masters in Media & Entertainment from Whistling Woods International in Mumbai. Speaks a bunch of languages too—Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, English. If that’s not enough, Mahesh recently kicked off his own production company, Big Bung Motion Pictures, and he’s already got his first film in the works. The guy’s always moving, never settling—just the way he likes it.
