Marc DeBevoise
Marc’s the kind of guy who doesn’t just ride the tech wave—he’s out there building the surfboard while everyone else is still lacing up their swim trunks. Right now, he’s running the show at Brightcove Inc., that streaming powerhouse you’ve probably heard about (or streamed on, let’s be real). CEO, board director, all of it. Yeah, he’s got the receipts.
Before Brightcove, Marc’s fingerprints were all over the digital side of ViacomCBS (now Paramount Global, because branding never sleeps). He was the Chief Digital Officer, plus CEO and President of CBS Interactive. Basically, if you were binge-watching, scrolling, or streaming anything from them in the last decade, Marc probably had a hand in making it happen. He was the brains behind launching CBS All Access (now called Paramount+), CBSN, CBS Sports HQ, and ET Live. You want subscriber numbers? Try 30 million. Monthly users? Over 200 million. The man turned a desktop-heavy, ad-first business into a subscription juggernaut living on your phone and TV.
Marc’s not just about numbers and tech—he actually cared about the people working with him. Big on inclusion, education, and making sure everyone felt like they belonged. Before all this, he did stints at Starz, NBC Universal, and even started out in investment banking. Nowadays, he also advises Antenna Group and sits on the board for The Door, helping thousands of at-risk youth in NYC. Basically, if media had a Hall of Fame, he’d be a first-ballot pick.
