Markus Bishop-Hill
Markus Bishop-Hill, p.g.a., isn’t your run-of-the-mill producer. Born and raised in Fresno—yeah, that Fresno—he went from high school halls at Buchanan in Clovis to rubbing elbows in LA’s film scene. This guy’s racked up credits all over the place: TV movies, theatrical releases, streaming—you name it, he’s probably had a hand in it. Not just a member of the Producers Guild of America and Television Academy, but a guy who actually hustles.
He’s got some wild recent projects, too. Like, he executive produced “Now Is Everything - Where Are You,” with Dante Spinotti (two Oscar noms, so that’s no small potatoes), and the cast? Anthony Hopkins, Madeline Brewer. That film hit the Locarno Film Festival in 2021, walked out with ‘Best Cinematography’ from Mammoth—so, not exactly a sleeper. On the TV movie front, you might’ve caught “How I Met Your Murderer” or “Deadly Hollywood Obsession” on Lifetime, both pretty buzzy. He also jumped in as associate producer for Hulu’s “Into the Dark” season two, which was creepy in the best way, and right now, he’s overseeing “American Horror Stories” (the AHS spin-off) for Hulu. Both seasons. Basically, if it’s dark, twisted, or just plain entertaining, Markus has probably worked on it—or will soon. Guy’s not slowing down.
