Mithun
Kaliyugam (2025) throws you headfirst into a world that feels just a little too close for comfort. Set in a near-future that’s basically gone off the rails, the film trails Mithun’s character, a guy who’s got more baggage than an airport carousel. Society’s in the gutter: corruption everywhere, power-mad leaders running the show, and honestly, hope’s in short supply. It’s not even dystopian in that shiny, futuristic way—nah, it’s gritty, grimy, sometimes a little too real.
Mithun doesn’t play your usual flawless hero. He’s stubborn, rough around the edges, and honestly? He’s tired. But he’s got this spark—something deep down refuses to let him just watch the world burn. The story sucks you in as he gets pulled into this chaotic web of underground politics, backstabbing allies, and a chunk of the city that’s basically lawless. There’s betrayals, close calls, and more than a few moments where you’re like, “No way he’s getting out of this one.”
And yet, through all the darkness—corrupt cops, double-crossing politicians, desperate families just trying to survive—there’s this thread of resilience. Mithun’s character keeps fighting, not because he thinks he’ll win, but because giving up isn’t in his DNA. The movie’s not shy about showing the ugly side of humanity, but it doesn’t leave you hopeless. Instead, you’re left rooting for change, even if it comes at a wild cost.
