Moriah Brown
Moriah Brown is honestly a force of nature—half Mexican-American, half African American, and somehow manages to juggle about a million things at once: actress, producer, model, creative director, singer, dancer... the list’s wild. Born right in East Los Angeles, Montebello, she’s the oldest of five, basically raised in the hustle thanks to parents Carol Navarro and Troy Brown, who both did their time in the entertainment world. So yeah, showbiz is in her DNA. Moriah started out young, like, kid-on-magazine-covers young, and was already nailing Spanish before most kids could tie their shoes. She got scooped up by Osbrink Talent, and landed gigs with Barbie Mattel and Disney. Big stuff for a little kid.
Then she hit middle school, and her parents let her chill and just be a regular teenager for a sec. But after college? Nope, she jumped right back in—acting, modeling, the whole shebang. She’s been the face of Color Pop, ModCloth, Wet N’ Wild, Moira Cosmetics—if it’s trendy, she’s probably done a shoot for it. Acting-wise, she’s starred in commercials for MGM Resorts, Subaru, Reebok, Sketchers, Facebook... you’ve definitely seen her and maybe didn’t even know.
From 2016-2018, Moriah hosted a bunch of web series, which honestly just paved the way for her first big break on BET’s "The Comedy Get Down." Then came "Raising Dion" on Netflix—total breakout role—and things just snowballed. Facebook Watch’s "Turnt," indie shorts, and now she’s a series regular on "Power Book: Ghost" as Keke Travis. And get this: she’s got a new project, "Six Triple Eight," dropping on Netflix December 2024, working with Tyler Perry, Kerry Washington, Oprah—no big deal, right? Moriah’s not just an actress, she’s always got her hands in producing, directing, and writing too. Just watch—she’s only getting started.
