Naveen Chandra
Naveen Chandra isn’t just another face in the Telugu film crowd—this guy’s got a pretty wild ride behind him. Before the lights and cameras, he was literally sitting at a desk as a multimedia animator, diploma in mechanical engineering in hand. The dude could’ve built engines, but nah, he chose the chaos of cinema instead. He kicked things off with “Sambhavami Yuge Yuge” back in 2006, and then, not one to chill, dipped his toes into Tamil films with “Pazhaniappa Kalloori” in 2007. He was everywhere that year—also showing up in the Telugu flick “Kalyanam.”
But the proper fireworks started with “Andala Rakshasi” in 2012—his first time leading the show. That film? Total hit. Critics, box office, everyone loved him. After that, he just kept the momentum rolling: “Dalam,” “Naa Rakumarudu,” and a string of Tamil movies like “Bramman,” “Sarabham,” “Koottam,” and “Sivappu.” The guy was working non-stop, like he had something to prove.
He spent the next few years mostly in Telugu land—“Bham Bolenath,” “Lacchimdeviki O Lekkundi,” “Devadas,” and then boom, “Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava.” That last one? Third-highest grosser in Telugu cinema for 2018. Not bad at all.
He’s not scared to try new stuff either—jumped into Tamil martial arts action with “Pattas” in 2020, then switched it up with “Bhanumathi & Ramakrishna,” “Ammu,” and “Veera Simha Reddy.” Even as recently as 2023, he’s still landing lead roles, like in “Mayagadu,” snagging praise from critics for his performance. Guy just keeps hustling.
