Nir Perlman
Nir Perlman, honestly, is one of those composers who just can’t sit still in a single genre. Based in London, he’s got his fingerprints all over film, TV, and even games. If you’ve binged “The Crown” on Netflix or caught “Ruth” on ITV, you’ve probably heard his stuff echoing through the drama, making you feel all sorts of things. There’s also “Coma” for Channel 5/CBS and, coming up, “The Moor” in 2024—so yeah, the guy’s busy.
He didn’t just stumble into the big leagues. Nir graduated with distinction from City, University of London (which isn’t exactly a walk in the park). Then he went straight to the National Film & Television School, where he pretty much scored everything: shorts, docs, animation, video games. The guy probably didn’t sleep much, but hey, it paid off.
He’s also been in the trenches at Soho Sonic Studios as a producer and engineer, collaborating with other artists in London’s buzzing music scene. Plus, he’s got this BAFTA Connect thing going on—basically, he’s rubbing elbows with some of the best in the business. Right now, he’s knee-deep in early ideas for his third feature film, so you know more big stuff is coming.
From mainstream hits to indie gems, Nir’s work just keeps popping up everywhere. If you’re into soundtracks that actually make you feel something, keep an eye (or ear) on this guy.
