Nitin Kumar
Nitin Kumar’s story isn’t exactly your everyday rags-to-riches spiel, but it’s got its grit. Born smack in the heart of August 1990, in a middle-class defense family, the guy got shuffled from state to state for his primary schooling—so, yeah, he’s seen a chunk of India most of us just see in geography books. He eventually landed up at KC College in south Mumbai (not a bad spot to call your college home, honestly), knocking out his graduation before he’d even figured out what he wanted for breakfast.
Bollywood, though—that’s where Nitin caught the bug. Instead of jumping in headfirst, he clocked hours as an assistant director under some of the big wigs. You know the type: directors who have their own Wikipedia pages and enough stories to fill a couple of lifetimes. That crash course in film sets, script rewrites, and maybe one too many late-night wraps? It shaped him, no doubt.
By 2020, when the world was busy losing its mind, Nitin was setting up shop—NFLICKS. His own production house, not just a side hustle, and pretty soon he was churning out projects under his own banner. Didn’t stop there, either. The guy’s got his fingers in the content pie, snatching up stories and making sure they find a home on OTT platforms. The industry’s moving fast, but Nitin’s running right alongside, dodging clichés and making some waves where it counts.
