Paul Dugdale
Paul Dugdale’s the kind of director who’s got his fingerprints all over the pop culture universe, and honestly, it shows. With three Grammy nominations stacked next to a shiny collection of Emmy, BAFTA, and DGA wins, dude’s basically a heavyweight in the world of concert films and music docs. He started out at Central Saint Martins in London—so, he’s got that artsy edge—then just ran with it, pouring his obsession for music and film into these massive, genre-defining projects. We’re talking Adele belting her heart out, Taylor Swift’s stadium magic, The Rolling Stones still rocking out, Harry Styles making everyone swoon, and a laundry list of icons: Ariana Grande, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Madonna, Green Day, even Karol G and Burna Boy. His camera’s been everywhere, honestly.
Dugdale isn’t tied down to any studio or network—he’s freelance, which means he picks his projects and seems to always land the big fish. He’s in with the Directors Guild of America, BAFTA, all that good stuff, and he’s got an active O1 visa, so the States can’t keep him away. Oh, and if you think he’s slowing down, nope—he’s got three hush-hush films in the pipeline (two stadium rock bands and another A-lister) all set to hit theaters in 2025. Guy’s a creative force, plain and simple. If there’s a live show or a music doc that made you feel something? Odds are, Dugdale had a hand in it.
