Peter Jacobson’s been around the block—a lot of blocks, actually. You probably remember him getting verbally pummeled by Hugh Laurie as Dr. Taub on HOUSE, but that’s just a sliver of his wild, three-decade ride through film and TV. Lately, he’s popping up in Paramount’s SMILE 2 with Naomi Scott and Drew Barrymore, playing Morris, some ER nurse who’s got a past nobody’s talking about. The guy’s knee-deep in chaos, trying to pull Scott’s Skye Riley out of the mess as the horror cranks up. And he’s not just sticking to one genre. Jacobson’s got this knack for balancing deadpan comedy with serious grit. Remember Proxy Snyder from COLONY? Absolute trainwreck of a warlord, but you couldn’t look away. He kept it weird on RAY DONOVAN, then zipped off to a galaxy far, far away as Myn Weaver in AHSOKA. Dude’s IMDb is a scroll-fest: GIRLS ON THE BUS, WeCRASHED (hello, Hathaway and Leto), FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, NEW AMSTERDAM, BILLIONS, BULL, THE GOOD DOCTOR… the list keeps going.
