Philipp Christopher
Philipp Christopher grew up in Berlin, soaking in the city’s energy until he bailed for New York City pretty early on. There, he dove into Film at SVA, tinkering with cameras and scripts, chasing that elusive perfect shot. He didn’t just sit in class, either—he started directing his own stuff, racking up awards for short films, music videos, and commercials. Guy’s not just about the art, though; he’s got hustle. He founded FilmGym, a film production company straddling New York and Berlin, building a creative playground for filmmakers on both sides of the Atlantic.
Acting kind of snuck up on him while he was still buried in film school projects. Thanks to a collaboration with the Actor’s Studio, he got to study under heavyweights like Elizabeth Kemp, Ken Schatz, and Barbara Portier. That training paid off, big time. He hit the New York stage, landed roles on TV, and popped up in films all over Europe and the States. Honestly, he’s one of those people who won’t just pick one lane—he’s all in, whether he’s directing behind the scenes or stealing the spotlight on screen. There’s a real indie spirit to what he does, always pushing for more, always looking for that next story to tell.
