Krishna Priya, who you might also know as Priya Atlee, isn’t just another face in the crowd—she’s got her hands in a bunch of things. Born on December 6, 1987, she’s an actor, a film producer, and, yeah, she’s married to Atlee, the guy behind massive South Indian hits like Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal, and Bigil. But let’s not pretend she’s just hanging out on the sidelines. Priya’s been right there in the thick of it—sitting in on script discussions, throwing out ideas, getting involved with pre-production. She’s no silent partner, that’s for sure. She didn’t stop there, either. She kicked off her own production company, “A for Apple Production.” Pretty catchy name, right? Her first big project as a producer was Andhaghaaram in 2020—a freaky supernatural horror thriller directed by V. Vignarajan, who was making his directorial debut. The movie had Arjun Das, Vinoth Kishan, and Kumar Natrajan taking the lead, with Pooja Ramachandran and Misha Ghoshal rounding out the cast. Priya’s not slowing down, either. She’s working on Jawan, a film directed by her husband Atlee, produced by none other than Red Chillies Entertainment (yeah, Shah Rukh Khan’s banner). Speaking of Shah Rukh, he’s starring in it, along with Vijay Sethupathy and Nayanthara. The buzz has been wild, and the film’s set to drop in June 2023.
