Rakul Preet Singh

Rakul Preet Singh, born on October 10, 1990 in New Delhi, has basically been living the dream since day one. With an army officer dad and a solid education from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, and then Jesus and Mary College (maths degree, no less), she had the whole brain-and-beauty combo on lock. Not stopping at academics, Rakul was smashing it on the golf course at national level tournaments while still in college—like, who even has that kind of energy? She dipped her toes into modeling during college, gracing a bunch of commercial flyers before jumping headfirst into movies. Her first acting gig? The Kannada film 'Gilli' back in 2009, where she played Arati and totally won over the audience. Two years later, she tried her luck at the Femina Miss India Pageant. Fifth place, sure, but five titles—including Miss India People's Choice—kind of says it all. Rakul then ventured into Telugu cinema with 'Keratam' and quickly made her way into Tamil movies with 'Thadaiyara Thaakka.' Bollywood came calling soon after, handing her a lead role in 'Yaariyan' (2014). Since then, she’s been everywhere—Telugu hits like 'Venkatadri Express,' 'Current Theega,' and 'Loukyam' put her on the map, leading to biggies like 'Kick 2,' 'Bruce Lee: The Fighter,' and 'Dhruva.' Awards? Oh, plenty—Filmfare, Zee Telugu Apsara, and more for Best Actress. She’s also the face of Telangana’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign. Upcoming projects?
