Richard Bowers
Richard basically grew up with music in his veins—banging on drums and tinkering with the piano before most kids could even spell “chord.” Instead of just playing around, he got serious and landed himself at Interlochen Arts Academy, which is kind of a big deal if you’re into music. Not stopping there, he dove into jazz at the University of Miami, sharpening his chops and soaking up all the good stuff from the pros.
For a while, he was that guy behind the drum kit, working gigs and building up some serious street cred. But apparently, that wasn’t enough—he ditched his comfort zone and made the big move to LA. Kind of gutsy, honestly. Turns out, LA liked him back. He ended up on speed dial for film and TV gigs, scoring everything from Disney’s Emmy-winning “Even Stevens” (yeah, the one with a young Shia LaBeouf) to CBS’s “Sweating Bullets” and ABC’s “FBI: The Untold Stories.” And if you’ve ever watched Lifetime, SyFy, Hallmark, or ABC Family, you’ve probably heard his work without even realizing it—dude’s got over 60 TV movies under his belt.
His fingerprints are all over some pretty huge projects, too. “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”? Yep. “Dr. Phil”? Sure. Even “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” It’s wild how his music just pops up in places you wouldn’t expect. So, Richard went from small-town drum prodigy to one of those behind-the-scenes legends whose soundtracks basically set the mood for half the stuff people watch on TV.
