Richard’s basically a legend in the UK film scene—three decades deep, Producers Guild of America nomination under his belt, and he’s been everywhere, honestly. Right now, he’s cooking up The Bitter End with Mike Newell calling the shots and a killer cast: Joan Collins, Isabella Rossellini, Miranda Richardson, Laurent Lafitte, and Charles Dance. Not too shabby. He’s also got projects percolating with the BFI, Film4, and a bunch of other backers, pulling in names like Roy Williams OBE, Clint Dyer, and Amit Gupta. The guy’s not slowing down. His last flick, Midas Man, dropped on Amazon, and if you’re into horror, you probably caught The Ritual (made for eOne, went global on Netflix—good luck sleeping after that one). Before all that, he spent a solid three years at Creative England, basically making sure indie films actually got made. Fourteen features he exec-produced there—God’s Own Country, 45 Years, Calibre, Jawbone—yeah, all those multi-award-winning ones. Digging further back, you’ve got Resistance with Andrea Riseborough, Eden Lake with Michael Fassbender (don’t watch alone), and the sleeper hit Waking Ned. He even co-wrote and produced Shooting Fish with Kate Beckinsale, and his first shot out the gate was Soft Top, Hard Shoulder, which snagged a Scottish BAFTA. Oh, and he helped start The New Producers Alliance and was Vice-Chairman for Film at PACT for a few years. His stuff’s picked up trophies at Berlin, Sitges, Empire Awards... the man’s just everywhere.
