Sasha Luss grew up in Magadan, way out in the Russian Far East, but didn’t stick around long—her family packed up for Moscow when she was still a kid. She wasn’t some child obsessed with supermodels or runways, though. Nope, she was way more into scribbling stories and tearing up the dance floor at ballet comps. That was her thing, at least until a busted ankle put the brakes on her dancing dreams. Actually, people used to stop her and her mom on the street and gush about how Sasha should be a model. Her mom’s friends, random strangers—everyone seemed to see something model-y in her, except Sasha herself. When she hit thirteen, her mom figured, why not? She dragged Sasha to a modeling agency, and just like that—bam—Sasha was signed. Not everyone was thrilled, though. Two years later, she nabbed the lead in “Anna,” playing a deadly assassin with a double life—think high fashion meets high stakes.
