So, I’m this indie filmmaker hanging my hat in Mumbai these days, but the story kicked off way back in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Grew up zigzagging between Jhansi, Gwalior, Delhi, and Mandi—lots of trains, lots of chai, you know the drill. I got hooked on theatre super early, obsessed with the whole drama and live performance buzz. That eventually morphed into a serious thing for music and direction. Ended up sharpening my skills at H.C.R.F. & T.A., tied to the National School of Drama in Delhi. Wild times—shared the stage with legends like the late B.V. Karant and Habib Tanvir. No big deal (okay, it was a huge deal). After I snagged my degree in 2000, I didn’t mess around—jumped right in with “The Soul Art Theater Academy” back in Jhansi. Got to vibe with theatre icons like Alok Chatterji, Devendra Raj Ankur, and Suresh Sharma. By 2002, Mumbai was calling, and suddenly I was deep in the TV world—cut my teeth as an Assistant Director on stuff like Shhh... Koi Hai, Vikraal and Sanjivni, and Aati Rahengi Baharein. Then I leveled up to Executive Producer for Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, which, honestly, was a wild ride. My film hustle took off in 2003 as an AD on Ssshhh..., and from 2004–2006, I was at Code Red Productions, cranking out ads for heavyweights like McDonald's, Cadbury, and Pepsi. Now, I’m flying solo as a filmmaker and casting director—worked with over 100 production houses, from Yashraj Films to Bhansali’s crew and McCann Worldgroup. Directed Atkan Chatkan (backed by A.R. Rahman, Amitabh Bachchan lending his voice—yeah, that happened), and Terri Diwaani’s dropping soon. Got more films cooking, like an untitled Hindi feature and scripts stacked: Murrgie, Senti Sonu, Ek Tha Aur Ek Thi. Honestly, I’m all about shaking up cinema with fresh, gutsy stories.
