Stefania Barr
Stefania Barr’s got this wild mix of energy and depth—she’s from Park City, Utah, and has been all over the map as an actor, director, and musician. You’ll catch her soon in the next chapters of Kevin Costner’s *Horizon: An American Saga*, which, let’s be real, is a pretty big deal. Her start? Disney Channel, where she played young Courtney Enders in “Right on Track” (yes, Brie Larson was in that too). Even as a kid, Stefania wasn’t just phoning it in—she was already known for showing up ultra-prepared and bringing some real fire to every part she landed. That work ethic snagged her roles that were emotionally heavy, like the short film “Unwind,” and people noticed.
Over the years, she’s racked up experience with some serious Hollywood heavyweights—Robert Pattinson, Chloé Zhao, Octavia Spencer, John Hawkes, Tony Hale, Kathy Bates, you name it. Working with Zhao at Sundance lit a new fire under her, pushing her to try her hand at directing. She went for a Cinema Production degree at Utah Valley University and ended up releasing “Stone Cold,” her own spin on Edgar Allen Poe. Stefania doesn’t just act—she’s been behind the camera in almost every role, from directing commercials for giants like Amazon and Volvo to running sets as a first assistant director.
Music? Oh yeah, she does that too. Classically trained, she was already winning awards for film scores as a teen. Now, she fronts indie-alt-rock band Shrink the Giant, and they’ve got a new album dropping in 2025. Basically, Stefania’s not slowing down anytime soon.
