Willa Fitzgerald
Willa Fitzgerald’s got that classic Southern vibe, straight outta Nashville, Tennessee. She went to Harpeth Hall—fancy private girls’ school, in case you’re wondering—then hustled over to Yale and snagged a theater degree. Not exactly a slacker, right? She kicked things off in the movie scene with “For the Love of a Dog” back in 2007, but honestly, most folks probably first caught her on TV as Lola Laffer in “Alpha House” in 2013.
After that, she started popping up all over—grabbed a recurring gig as Emma Miller on “Royal Pains,” plus little guest spots on “Blue Bloods,” “The Following,” and “Gotham.” She’s got some stage cred too, doing plays like “Couple in the Kitchen” and “The Cat and the Canary.” Busy doesn’t even begin to cover it.
2016 rolled around and she dove into “Misfortune” (which later got called “Blood Money”—because apparently Hollywood loves changing titles). Then she almost snagged a lead as a Navy pilot in Fox’s “Behind Enemy Lines,” but Fox kinda bailed on that one. No worries, though—she bounced back, playing Meg in “Little Women,” then scored the lead in E!’s “#Fashionvictim.” Fitzgerald kept the momentum, landing Kitsey Barbour in the movie version of “The Goldfinch.”
Lately? She’s crushing it as Roscoe in Amazon’s “Reacher.” The show’s blowing up, and now everyone’s suddenly obsessed with her. Guess all that hard work’s paying off.
