Yayo Guridi
Yayo Guridi, born November 6th, 1965, in Villa María, Córdoba, Argentina, is one of those guys who just seems to have his hands in everything. Seriously, if you’ve spent any time watching Argentine movies or TV, there’s a good chance you’ve caught him somewhere—either cracking a joke, playing some oddball character, or just generally stealing the scene. People mostly know him for his roles in “Fase 7” (2010), which, let’s be honest, is that kind of offbeat sci-fi comedy that only gets better the more times you watch it. And then there’s “Bañeros III, todopoderosos,” from 2006—total slapstick chaos, that one. He’s also in “27: El club de los malditos” (2018), which is weird and wild in its own way, a sort of dark comedy that doesn’t really care about playing it safe.
Yayo’s not just an actor, though—he’s also a producer, which probably explains why he’s always popping up in such random (and sometimes delightfully messed-up) projects. Off-camera, he’s been married to Claudia Viqueira since 1992, which, in showbiz years, is like an eternity. They’ve got two kids, keeping things grounded while he’s out there doing his thing on screen. If you’re looking for a guy who brings big energy and doesn’t take himself too seriously, Yayo’s your man. His work, honestly, kind of feels like hanging out with that one hilarious uncle who always has a story and never lets family gatherings get boring.
