Zoe Fish, honestly, is one of those faces you might not realize you’ve seen, but she’s popped up in some wild places. She’s got this low-key intensity that just works, whether she’s creeping you out in The Grudge (2019) or tugging at your heartstrings in The Christmas Club. No joke, her turn in The Grudge? Super eerie. She manages to look both innocent and, well, unsettling at the same time—classic horror movie child vibes. Then, in Percy (2020), she does a total 180. The movie’s all about this small-town farmer fighting against a massive agro-corp, and Zoe plays his granddaughter. She brings this sweet, grounded energy, nothing over the top, but you actually care what happens to her. I mean, a lot of child actors just sort of exist in the background, but she actually holds her own with Christopher Walken, which is saying something. And yeah, The Christmas Club is a whole different beast. It’s one of those syrupy Hallmark flicks, but Zoe plays the kind of kid that makes you want to believe in Christmas miracles again. She’s got timing for days, and just enough sass to keep things interesting. She’s Canadian, which you pick up in interviews—super polite, just a bit shy, but clearly ambitious. Not one to hog the spotlight, but she’s always memorable. Give it a couple more years and, honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her landing bigger, crazier roles. She’s got that quiet, “just watch me” energy.
