Storyline
After the planet takes a beating and basically claps back by unleashing a deadly virus on humanity, things get real ugly, real fast. Ethan and his girlfriend Emma—she’s a doctor, which, honestly, should be a bonus in this mess—ditch the chaos in the city and make a run for their lakeside cabin. Except fate's like, “Not so fast,” because Ethan knocks out at the wheel and their car eats a tree. When he comes to, Emma’s nowhere, and he’s got amnesia plus a busted arm. He stumbles around, clueless, until this tough lady Mae steps in, saves him from some random armed dudes, and patches him up at her place. While Ethan’s stuck there, lost and desperate to find Emma, little snippets of memory start trickling back.
