Storyline
So, Earth basically gets wrecked by these unbeatable monsters that claw their way up from underground. I mean, nearly everyone’s toast—only about 5% make it, and the trick? They have to live above 2,400 meters, ‘cause the monsters can’t handle the altitude. Will’s holed up in the mountains with his kid, Hunter, who’s got some pretty nasty breathing problems. Will’s wife, Tara, vanished on an expedition ages ago—Nina, the only one who made it back, kind of haunts their little community. When Hunter’s medical filters run out, Will’s got no choice but to risk everything. He, Nina, and his ride-or-die pal Katie gear up for a sketchy trip down to Boulder City, which is, unfortunately, way below monster-safe height. It’s not just about dodging creatures—it’s about picking through the ruins of what used to be home, hoping to find meds before Hunter’s time runs out. Every move is a gamble, but what else can a desperate dad do when the world’s gone to hell?
