Storyline
The world’s pretty much toast—flooded out, leftovers of humanity everywhere, and honestly, things look grim. There’s this cat, usually a total loner, who ends up shoved out of its ruined home by a brutal flood. With nowhere else to go, it clambers onto a boat that’s already packed with a wild mix of animals, all basically strangers to each other. Not exactly what a cat dreams of, right? But survival doesn’t leave much room for pickiness. Forced to cooperate, the cat and its unlikely crewmates bounce off each other, sometimes fighting, sometimes pulling together, all while drifting through these surreal, drowned landscapes that don’t look like anything from the old world. Every day is a scramble: dealing with weird weather, searching for scraps of food, and dodging the random dangers that come with this new, watery mess of a world. Through all that, the cat finds itself changing—learning to trust, to fight for more than just itself, discovering that maybe, just maybe, there’s still a little hope floating out there too.
