Storyline
Mahesh Verma, clearly not winning any humanitarian awards, sends his crony Abba to recruit Ghulam-E-Musthafa—a stone-cold gangster who doesn’t exactly hand out cookies at neighborhood parties. The job? Handle dirty work for Verma, obviously. When Dayanand Dixit won’t budge on selling his property, Ghulam gets plopped right into the Dixit family home. Imagine suddenly living with a hired goon who’s supposed to make your life miserable—awkward doesn’t even begin to cover it. Dayanand and his wife, Bhagyalaxmi, are totally thrown, especially since they’re not thrilled about a Muslim guy sharing meals and space with them. Then things spiral: Dayanand gets fired, their son Vikram can’t get into any college, and their daughter Vidya’s marriage prospects vanish. The whole family’s basically getting iced out of society, thanks to Verma’s power plays. Backed into a corner, the Dixits have to swallow their pride and figure out some kind of truce with Ghulam and his puppet masters, or risk getting left behind—Vikram stuck without an education, Vidya single forever, and their family totally isolated.
