Storyline
Eric jets off to Italy with one goal—stop his daughter from making, what he thinks, is a ridiculous decision to buy a crumbling “one-dollar” house in a sleepy old village. The place is practically falling apart, but that’s the whole point: the town’s desperate to lure in new folks by selling these abandoned houses for peanuts. Eric’s daughter? She’s not backing down, no matter how much he grumbles. Instead of talking her out of it, Eric ends up sucked into the renovation madness himself, nudged along by Francesca, the town’s mayor who’s got a soft spot for both lost causes and new beginnings. The paperwork’s a nightmare, the repairs are endless, and Eric’s totally out of his depth, but Francesca’s there every step of the way, making the chaos almost fun. At first, Eric’s rolling his eyes at everything Italian—small-town quirks, stubborn locals, the whole vibe. But gradually, the village and Francesca work their magic, and he can’t help but fall for the place, and maybe for her too.
